Wyndham Duisburger Hof

I booked the hotel because it was one of the cheapest I could find close to the center. It turned out to be the best hotel in town, perfectly located close to shopping, restaurants, train station, culture and sights. To be honest, Duisburg is not a very touristic place, but it was a good starting point to do excursions to other places in the Ruhr area, which has many other cities very nearby. I was feeling lucky, getting a very good room at a low price. The room was good, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom nice.

Breakfast - quality food and a decent selection from sweet to savory Location - next to the city centre, a lot of food options and shopping close by. Parking also available in the nearby garage Rooms - clean and modern

Room was comforable and warm (visited in winter), looked much newer than the hotel itself. There were 2 pillows (one thin and one round). Breakfast was ok, although hotels in the region are charging a bit much. Even though it's right in the middle of town's center (next to the Opera), it wasn't noisy.

Overall a pleasant short stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean room, breakfast was satisfactory. Location is perfect, accross a classical theater building, malls and shops, innenhafen is 10-15 min walk.

The price ! A luxury hotel for small money but you are treated like a king. Room spacious enough,very clean and modern. Amazing bathroom and comfy bed. Situated 5min walk from train station and middle of a shopping area to go to eat at nighttime or daytime. Quiet at night and room is kept dark in the early hours by heavy curtains.
